The Orangery, Mount Edgcumbe

The Orangery is one of the most historic and exclusive wedding venues in Cornwall, situated in Mount Edgcumbe Country Park on the Rame Peninsula. Just a stone’s throw across the water from Plymouth via the Cremyll foot ferry and surrounded by pebbled beaches and rugged coastline, we’re one of the South West’s best kept secrets.

Built in 1775 by Thomas Pitt, The Orangery features elegant floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings and magical views of the water fountain and Italian garden. The venue and garden are encapsulated by 20ft bay trees, giving utmost privacy and a sense of period grandeur. We have restored and sympathetically refurbished the interior, modernising the interior with neutral and tasteful décor whilst still retaining the sophisticated, heritage feel.
 
With a 200-person capacity and dinner seating for 40 to 120 guests, our in-house chefs serve delicious homemade dishes, made with quality local produce. Whether you’d like a formal and exquisite wedding breakfast or a relaxed and indulgent barbecue, our talented team can cater for all tastes. We also have parasols and outdoor seating for up to 50 guests, so you can sip Pimms and relax in the sunshine or toast champagne under the stars before you dance the night away. The venue is fully licensed and we have a dance floor, a wireless sound system and live band/DJ facilities, so all your evening entertainment needs can be catered to.
